Short introduction
The apartement is situated in a modern and recent construction, includes an income hall, an open kitchen, living room with dining corner, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a parking place and last but not least also a south facing balcony, from where you can enjoy an amazing view over the Swiss Alps.
Larges Horizons is situated on approximately 1.400 meters atltitude and looks down to the village center of Leysin. Shops and restaurants are on a walking distance and also the access to public transport is not far away. In the village there is a free bus service for the longer distances.
In the winter you can enjoy a large offer of wintersports : skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, ice skating, walking with snow raquets or a unique experience in the Tobogganing Park of Leysin. The ski area of the Alpes Vaudoises offers you 225km of slopes and on top of that, the skipass for children up to 9 years old is for free !!
During summer there are miles of well indicated walking paths or moutainbike trails at your disposal, or if you prefer more adventure, there you can use the via ferrata. In the village you can find a large number of sport and leisure activities : swimming pool, tennis courts (indoor - outdoor), ice skating, wall climbing, ...
Leysin is the ideal place for planning your trips. Other villages like Les Diablerets, Château d'oex or Les Mosses have a lrge offer of mountain activities. Cities around Lake Genova : Montreux, Lausanne, Vevey, ... are worth a visit. You can also learn more about the typical Swiss specialties. Visit Gruyère and its cheese factory or discover the secrets of Swiss chocolate and follow a chocolate workshop in the renomated chocolate factory Callier. Further, you can bring a visit to the salt mines of Bex, from where a train gets you down deep under the mountains, giving you a view on the geological composition of the Alps.
